A trough of low pressure is going to push this high pressure system out of the way come Thursday. As it does, we’ll see lower high temperatures area-wide. The wind will remain at 10-15 mph. Highs will drop down into the upper 70s. This will still be above average, but it will feel nicer. Actually, it will try to feel cooler, thanks to the wind that will be around. We will also remain dry.

As we move into Friday, that trough of low pressure will still be affecting our weather conditions. The morning is going to be warm, thanks to cloud cover coming in overnight. We’ll only start in the mid 50s for most of us. The afternoon will see a mix of clouds and sunshine. Wind will be sustained at 10-15 mph from the south. Even though we’ll see south wind, the high will get to 76°. Highs will be near 80° off the Caprock.
