We’re going to get more clouds mixed in with the sunshine on Friday. So, expect less sun breaking through the clouds then on Thursday. The clouds won’t put too much of a hold on high temperatures. Expect a relatively warm start to the day, with a low of only 58°. The afternoon will see above average highs, even though the clouds will be around. Lubbock is going to climb up to a high of 80°. Wind is looking to be at 10-15 mph from the south.
As we move into the weekend, the skies will clear off from Friday, but will still encounter mostly sunny skies. The air is looking to be dry, with the wind flow coming from the west-northwest. That flow pattern usually means cooler air. However, Saturday is looking to be mostly sunny, with a high in Lubbock of 82°. That will be reached by the fourth quarter of Texas Tech’s football game with Iowa State. A cold front will move in on Saturday night.
