As we move into the weekend, we will be looking at warmer air returning, if only for one day. The skies will be mostly sunny, with wind at 10-15 mph. The air will be dry, so no worries if you’re going to the Texas Tech homecoming game at 11:00 am. The afternoon will see us reach a high temperature of 83°. That will occur during the second half of the game. A cold front will move in Saturday night/Sunday morning. This will bring more changes to the forecast by Sunday.
The cold front will be moving pretty quickly. Like the cold front from last Saturday night, there will be no precipitation with this frontal passage. Behind the front, the wind will be drop by Sunday afternoon, but you’ll notice it up to 30 mph very early Sunday morning. The afternoon will see sunny skies with a high of 71°. That is going to be below the average high.
