There will be another turn around in high temperatures by Wednesday. Wind will be coming in from the west, which will down slope from the mountains in New Mexico. That always heats things up here in west Texas. Lubbock will watch as highs will jump up to 80°. That is going to be close to ten degrees above the average. The warm air begins on Wednesday and will stay for quite some time.

The air will be even warmer by Thursday. Morning lows will only be in the low and mid 50s. Quite the difference from earlier in the week when there were lows in the 20s and 30s. Thursday afternoon is going to see a high of 82° here in Lubbock. The wind will increase to 15-25 mph. So, that is going to be the major problem. Otherwise, we’re going to see sunny skies and more dry air across west Texas.
