A trough of low pressure is just off to the west this morning, over central and eastern New Mexico. That is going to help to bring in lift this afternoon and evening. Lift is needed for showers and thunderstorm. Those will be wide spread after 6:00 pm today. There will be heavy rain with those storms. Strong wind can’t be ruled out, as gusts could get to 70 mph. This afternoon will be partly sunny with a high temperature of 76°. Tomorrow morning will see thunderstorms in the area at 30% before lunch time. Then, tomorrow afternoon will see a mix of clouds and sun with a high of 70°.
