The warm mornings will continue through Thursday. We’re going to get light wind, so it will actually feel pretty good as you step out to start the day. The afternoon will see any leftover clouds from Wednesday move out of the area. So, skies will be bright blue and sunny, with warm air in place. Under the high pressure ridge, Lubbock is going to reach a high temperature of 96°. There will be places in the Rolling Plains hitting 100° in the afternoon.
The setup for Friday is going to be very similar to Thursday. We’re going to be places right under this upper-level high pressure system. It will move slow, so expect another warm one. The only good news I have is that skies will be mostly sunny. So, some clouds will give us instances of shade. Other than that, Lubbock will be reaching a high temperature of 95°. Highs will be closer to 100° in the Rolling Plains.
