We’re going to see a mix of clouds and sunshine as we move into Saturday. Those clouds will be thick, puffy cumulus clouds and they will be around blocking out the sun at times during the afternoon. That is good for tailgaters, but you’ll still need the sunscreen. Those clouds will be keeping the highs down into the 80s for most of us. Lubbock will hit 89°. There will be isolated storms in the area at 10%, so watch for lightning.

There will be breaks in the clouds by Sunday, but they’ll still be around the area. Even though we’re going to see mostly sunny skies, highs won’t be able to climb up too high, thankfully. Lubbock can expect to reach a high temperature of 88°. Right now, it’s looking dry. However, I am keeping an eye out to see if there will be changes, bringing in some rain to the region.
