The changes will begin by Saturday, as we’ll experience more clouds than sunshine. The Pacific system is going to drop the high temperatures down into the 80s, as Lubbock will hit 83° for the high. The wind is going to be increasing to 15-20 mph with this system. By late afternoon, I can’t rule out isolated storms moving into the area from the west. Those storms will increase in coverage overnight, to 30%.
Showers and thunderstorms will impact your Sunday, so have the rain gear all ready to go. Skies will be cloudy, the air will be cooler, but it will feel muggy out there with all the moisture we will be receiving. Lubbock will only make it up to a high temperature of 78°. That temperatures will be bouncing around, depending on the amount of rain we see. Right now, coverage is at 30% throughout the day.
