The showers and thunderstorms will continue through the day on Wednesday. Lows will dip down into the upper 50s behind a cold front and thanks to the rain. The afternoon will see cloudy skies, with those storms covering 50% of the area. There will be pockets of heavy rain again. So, streets and streams will flood, as well as playa lakes. Be on the lookout for flooded roads and don’t drive through them. The high will only get to 65°.

We’ll turn to more scattered showers across the region on Thursday. There will actually be some sun shining through the cloud cover. Showers and a few storms will be in the area at 30%. Lubbock will begin the day at 57°, with a high temperature only reaching 68°. Any more rain that we see will cause more flooding, just because of all the rain that has fallen across the area lately. So, just be safe while driving.
