Temperatures will continue to drop behind the front as we move into Wednesday. In fact, the morning will begin with Lubbock reaching 60°, with many spots in the mid 50s. We’ll see the return of the fair-weather, puffy cumulus clouds by the afternoon, giving us a few breaks from the sunshine. With the cooler air in place, we can expect a high of 80°, with mid 80s over in the Rolling Plains. The wind will be at 5-10 mph, so it will feel great outside.

Things will begin to warm up with mostly sunny skies by Thursday. The morning will see more locations in the mid and upper 50s. Lubbock is going to start the day at 58°. However, with more sunshine and wind from the south, we’ll see higher temperature in the afternoon. Lubbock will see a high of 85°. That is still below average, but it starts the warm up for the next few days.
