We’ll see clearing skies, thanks to high pressure and dry air sticking around west Texas on Friday. The morning will not be as cool, as we’re expecting a low of 61° for Lubbock and most of the South Plains. The afternoon is looking to be sunny and warmer, with the wind picking up to 10-15 mph. We’ll see a high temperature of 87° here in Lubbock, with low 90s over in the Rolling Plains.

Moving into the weekend, Texas Tech football is off this week, so you can get out and get some yard work done Saturday, or take the kids out to the park. We’re going to continue to see sunny skies and dry air. It will be a cool start to the day, as we will start at 59°. In the afternoon, the UV Outlook will be Extreme, so be careful out in the sun. We’ll hit a high of 85°.
