Today was a much colder day. Overcast conditions really helped our temperatures to struggle to get into the upper 30s across much of the South Plains. Fortunately, if you’re looking for warmer weather, it’s on the way!
Tonight will be cold with temperatures dipping into the lower 30s, and by the time you wake up tomorrow you’ll definitely want to grab a jacket. While it’ll be in the low 30s, it’ll feel more like the 20s. You’ll be able to take the jacket off once the clouds break and temperatures rise up to the low 60s during the afternoon. The 60s stick around through the midweek before an approaching low from the west brings in clouds, rain, and cooler temperatures.
This system will be quick moving, dropping rain during the morning before jetting off to the east. A lingering shower is possible Wednesday afternoon, but the bulk of the rain will happen during the morning. Overcast conditions in the morning will inhibit our temperatures from getting too warm. Highs on Wednesday will only reach the 50s making it the coolest day of the week.
Temperatures on Thursday will rebound back into the 60s before nearing the 70s by the end of the week and into the weekend with sunny and dry conditions.
Have a great week!
