Today was a perfect day. Despite being unseasonably warm with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s, it didn’t feel too hot out and sunshine dominated the day. If you’re looking for more Fall-like temperatures you’re going to have to wait a few days as more unseasonably warm weather continues. Tomorrow will be much of a repeat as today with abundant sunshine and temperatures in the upper 70s. The start of the workweek begins over 10 degrees above average with high temperatures in the mid 80s.

It’s not until the midweek when changes begin to happen. We’re tracking a cold front that will not only drop our temperatures into the 60s, but it’ll also bring some rain back into the forecast. Isolated rain will begin on Wednesday morning becoming more scattered across the South Plains by the afternoon. This will be the only chance for rain for the rest of the week, but temperatures look to stay in the 60s by the end of the week and into the weekend.
