Good Evening Everyone!

Short Term Forecast: We finally saw some sunshine break out across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains Saturday afternoon after a cloudy and foggy start to the day. We’ll keep mostly clear conditions this evening, but low clouds and fog will return overnight as we fall down into the 40s across the area. A cold front will move into the area Sunday morning, knocking our highs back into the 50s. It’ll remain partly sunny on Sunday and mostly cloudy into Sunday evening. Low clouds and fog will return late Sunday evening and into Monday morning. Some drizzle may be possible in spots. It’ll warm back into the 60s on Monday, but we’ll keep a good bit of cloud cover around. 

Extended Forecast: Our temperatures will take another ride of the fall roller coaster this week. We’ll warm back into the 70s on Tuesday before falling back into the 60s on Wednesday. We’re back into the 70s on Thursday and then we fall back into the 60s by Friday and Saturday. Overnight lows will hold mostly into the 40s, with a new nights into the lower 50s. The extended forecast remains dry, as none of the forecast model runs are showing any precipitation chances over the next 7 days.

Sunday: Low clouds and fog in the morning. Otherwise partly sunny, breezy and cooler. Highs in the middle to upper 50s with a northeasterly wind 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy with low clouds and fog. Slight chance of drizzle in the evening and overnight. Lows in the middle 40s. 

Monday: Partly sunny and milder with highs back into the middle 60s.
