Short Term Forecast:
A cold front moved across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains this morning dropping our highs back into the 60s and 70s across the region. Like the last few days, we’ve seen some high clouds move across the region today. These should move out and thin out this evening, returning us to mostly clear conditions overnight. It’ll been colder tonight with lows back into the 30s across the area. The weather is looking great for Sunday, with mostly sunny conditions and mild temperatures.We’ll warm back into the lower 70s area wide. 

Extended Forecast:
Long range forecast models are still not looking promising for any precipitation chances across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains. Warm weather will start the workweek with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s on Monday. We’ll cool back into the 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday. It’ll get even cooler by the end of the week with highs back into the middle and upper 50s. Looks like 60s will return for the first part of next weekend. Overnight lows will warm back into the 40s for Monday morning and Tuesday morning. Lows will fall back into the 30s for Wednesday thru Saturday morning. A few spots might dip into the 20s Friday morning.

Tonight: Mostly clear and colder. Lows in the middle 30s. East-northeast wind will shift to the southwest by early morning. 

Sunday: Mostly sunny and warmer. Highs in the lower 70s with a southwesterly wind between 5 and 10 miles per hour. 

Sunday Night: Mostly clear and warmer with lows in the lower to middle 40s.

Monday: Mostly sunny, breezy and warmer. Elevated wildfire danger is expected across the region. Highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Southwesterly wind 15 to 20 miles per hour.
