Happy Thursday everyone! The dry line is set up across the Central South Plains yet again so folks in the Western South Plains will stay dry with the Eastern South Plains watching for another chance for severe storms. The Storm Prediction Center has placed Eastern Cottle and King counties under the Enhanced Category and Hall, Cottle, and King counties under the Slight Category for Severe storms this afternoon and evening. Biggest threats will be large hail, damaging wind gusts, and an isolated tornado threat. Make sure to stay weather aware!
A cold front is set to move into the region tonight and stall out until Friday evening. This will bring another drop in temperatures for tomorrow and Saturday but at this point it looks like we will remain dry. However, a second system will push across the region at the beginning of next week and that will bring another chance for storms as well as another cool down.
