Happy Monday everyone! With the dry line set up over the region, we are expecting showers and thunderstorms to return to the region this afternoon through Tuesday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Northern South Plains under the Slight Risk Category for severe storms. Biggest threats will be large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes. This same scenario will pan out on Tuesday with the Slight Risk Category impacting the Eastern South Plains instead. We will see a break in the storms on Wednesday but with our next low pressure system approaching the region, storms will return on Friday and we will see yet another chance for storms on Thursday and Friday. Stay weather aware!
