November 28th, 2017 Evening Weather

Happy Tuesday everyone! It has been another beautiful and sunny day across the South Plains with highs dropping into the mid-60’s. This is due to a dry cold front that is pushing through the region which has also brought us some very windy conditions. The combination of these strong winds and dry conditions will bring a higher risk of fire weather tonight so make sure to be cautious while barbecuing and ensure that cigarettes are put out properly. Temperatures will continue to drop, falling into the low 30’s on Wednesday morning and then the mid-50’s by Thursday afternoon before our next warming trend into the weekend. Don’t forget to bring your pets and potted plants indoors and turn sprinklers off this evening before the freezing temperatures return. Despite our temperature fluctuations, sunshine will continue to be abundant through the beginning of next week.
