Happy Friday everyone! It has been another sunny and warmer day across the South Plains with highs back in the mid-80’s this afternoon. This warm up will continue through tomorrow with highs reaching back into the upper 80’s and low 90’s so make sure to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated! This hot streak will be short-lived though as our next cold front pushes into the region Saturday evening, bringing us our next chance for showers and thunderstorms. Right now models have them impacting the South Plains late Saturday night through early Sunday morning. Then on Sunday afternoon the cold front will clear the region, bringing us another big drop in temperatures and an end to the rain and storms.
