Happy Tuesday everyone! We have had another dry, sunny, and slightly warmer day across the South Plains with highs reaching back into the low 80’s. The warming trend will continue through tomorrow with highs pushing back into the mid-80’s. While high pressure is set to control our weather pattern through tomorrow, a series of fronts and short waves will impact us throughout the second half of the week. The first shortwave will push in on Thursday bringing us our first cool down and then the cold front will push through on Saturday night and into Sunday. Earlier models showed rain in the forecast but they have since pushed it further east, outside of our viewing area. However, both systems will bring much more Fall-like temperatures so make sure to keep your jackets handy!
