Happy Wednesday everyone! We have had another dry, sunny, and slightly warmer day across the South Plains with highs reaching back into the mid-80’s. However, our warming trend will come to an end due to a shortwave trough that will move across the region tomorrow. This will allow temperatures to drop back to around average in the mid-70’s and it will bring a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms. This will remain the case on Friday as well but we will see more sunshine and warmer temperatures by Saturday. This weekend warm up will yet again be short-lived though as we watch for our next cold front to slide across the South Plains Saturday night into Sunday. This will bring another cool down, but we are not expecting any rain with this system. With all of these temperature fluctuations, make sure to keep your jackets handy!
