Happy Sunday everyone! It has been a sunny and pleasant day across the South Plains with high pressure controlling our weather pattern. Temperatures moved into the low 70’s today with a warm up into the upper 70’s expected for tomorrow. This will be short-lived though as our next cold front slides across the region tomorrow evening. Other than the ten degree drop in temperatures, this front will bring no other changes to the forecast. Sunshine will remain abundant throughout the majority of the week and temperatures will rebound into the low 80’s by Thursday. Our big game changer will be a much stronger cold front that transverses the region Thursday night into Friday. This will bring a 25+ degree drop in temperatures and our next chance for showers and thunderstorms. Make sure to keep your umbrellas and jackets handy and to stay weather aware. Rain will clear out quickly but temperatures will remain below average over the weekend.
