October 23rd, 2017 Evening Weather

Happy Monday everyone! It has been another sunny and pleasant day across the South Plains with temperatures warming into the upper 70’s this afternoon. This warm up will be short-lived though as our next cold front slides across the region this evening. However, other than the ten degree drop in temperatures, this front will bring no other changes to the forecast. Sunshine will remain abundant throughout the majority of the week and temperatures will rebound into the low 80’s by Thursday. Our big game changer will be a much stronger cold front that transverses the region Thursday night into Friday. This will bring a 25+ degree drop in temperatures and our next chance for showers and thunderstorms. Make sure to keep your umbrellas and jackets handy and to stay weather aware. Rain will clear out quickly but temperatures will remain below average over the weekend.
