Happy Sunday everyone!  It was a very warm and sunny day across the South Plains but we have a big cool down on the way.  Tonight  the clear skies will continue with a cool low temperature near 49 degrees.  A strong cold front will begin its descent into the area tomorrow keeping high temperatures cool.  The timing of the front will determine how warm we get tomorrow.  High’s are expected to be near 70 degrees. The front will be dry but will create a very breezy day.  Winds will be out of the north between 15 and 25 miles per hour during the day.  By the evening hours winds will continue to increase  between 20 and 30 miles per hour with gust as high as 40 miles per hour.  Tuesday will be another cool and sunny day with high temperatures sitting in the mid 60’s.  Tuesday’s low temperature will be the coldest thus far this fall, dropping near 39 degrees.  Grab your jackets!  Wednesday we begin a slow warming trend and by Thursday high temperatures will climb back into the low 80’s.  Low temperatures will also warm back into the upper 50’s.  Overall it’s going to be a sunny but chilly start to the week!  Make it a great week!.
