Happy Tuesday everyone! It has been another mild and sunny day across the South Plains with high temperatures remaining below average in the mid-80’s. We will remain at or just above average for the remainder of the work week with more sunshine on tap. That means it is important to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also, don’t forget about your pets outdoors – bring them inside during peak heating hours and make sure that they are staying hydrated as well. Over the weekend, a weak system will slide across the region bringing a slight rain chance and a small drop in temperatures. This will be short-lived though with more sunshine and above average temperatures returning by the beginning of next week.
