Happy Tuesday everyone! We have had another sunny and beautiful day across the South Plains with high pressure continuing to reign over the region throughout the remainder of the work week. However, temperatures will begin their upward climb reaching into the mid to upper 90’s, with a few folks even potentially reaching into the triple digits. That means that it is very important to stay sun safe – wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Sunshine will remain abundant throughout the week but we are watching for changes for the weekend. A low pressure system is set to track across the South Plains by Saturday bringing us a welcomed cool down and a possible chance for rain so make sure to stay weather aware. Right now high school football games are forecasted to stay dry but we may see some rain for the Tech game.
