Happy Monday everyone! It has been a beautiful and sunny start to the work week with with highs back in the upper 80’s and low 90’s. Over the next few days, temperatures will remain in this range with abundant sunshine across the region. However, beginning on Thursday, a cold front will slide across the South Plains bringing us our next rain chance. Showers and thunderstorms will stick around through Saturday and we will see a brief drop in temperatures through the first half of the weekend. Rain or shine, it is important to remember that it is important to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors during peak heating hours. Also, don’t forget about your pets outdoors – bring them inside during peak heating hours and make sure that they are staying hydrated as well.
