Happy Monday everyone! It has been a very cool and rainy start to the work week with highs only reaching into the upper 60’s to the mid-70’s. As the cold front to our Northwest slowly moves into and across our region over the next two days, we will continue to see showers and thunderstorms dictate the forecast with temperatures continuing their downward trend. Highs will only reach into the mid-60’s on Tuesday and then the low 60’s on Wednesday so make sure to bundle up and keep your rain gear handy. We are not expecting any severe weather with these storms, but localized flooding and low visibilities will be a major risk. Make sure to drive with caution and remember to turn around, don’t drown! Rain chances will slowly diminish but will not disappear as we move into the second half of the work week and the weekend. That means we will be watching for storms to impact high school football games and the Texas Tech game against OSU this weekend therefore it is imperative to stay weather aware!
