Happy Wednesday everyone! After a very stormy day across the South Plains, the thunderstorms cleared out early this morning and were replaced with exceptionally windy conditions. Through tomorrow evening we will continue to see blowing dust and an extreme fire weather risk. Do no be burning, outdoor welding, and engaging in any activity with an open flame. If you are a cigarette smoker, make sure to dispose of them appropriately. The wind will slowly calm down by Thursday night with below average temperatures sticking around through the weekend. Sunshine will remain abundant until Saturday when we see a small disturbance push across the South Plains, bringing a small chance for rain. Sunshine returns yet again on Sunday with warmer temperatures expected for next week.
