Happy Wednesday everyone! It has been a cooler and windy day across the South Plains following the passage of the cold front this morning. This mid-week cool down will be short-lived with highs moving back into the mid-70’s on Thursday and then the upper 80’s and low 90’s by the weekend. Despite the mid-week cold front, sunshine will be abundant throughout the remainder of the work week and weekend so make sure to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated! Winds will begin to calm down tonight and will remain calm until the second half of next weekend when we watch for the next system to approach the region. This system will bring our next chance for rain beginning as early as Sunday night and continuing through Tuesday so make sure to keep an umbrella handy.
