Happy Friday everyone! Overcast skies will keep temperatures cooler again today with highs only reaching into the low 60’s. This will remain the case through Saturday but unlike the remainder of today, we will see rain chances tomorrow and through the start of next week. This is due to a closed low that will slowly make its’ way to the South Plains over the next few days. Saturday the rain will mostly be confined to the region along the Texas/ New Mexico border. However, rain will become much more widespread on Sunday as another system pushes across the entire region. Following the rain on Sunday, we will briefly see a slight warm up in temperatures with highs moving back into the 70’s before another cool down starting on Tuesday. Thankfully, we are just expecting general thunderstorms over the next few days but nothing severe at this time.
