Happy Thursday! We started today with more hot and sunny conditions but we are expecting showers and thunderstorms to start popping up across the South Plains this afternoon that will continue through tomorrow morning. Some of these storms will be strong to severe with the potential for large hail and strong winds. This is all due to a strong cold that is projected to push across the region this evening. Your Friday will be much cooler with temperatures only reaching into the low to mid – 60’s. Isolated storm chances will continue throughout the weekend but we do expect another warming trend with temperatures moving back into the 80’s by Monday.
