Happy Thursday everyone! We have more showers and thunderstorms expected this afternoon and this evening. Unfortunately, flooding will still be a major issue across the South Plains due to the fact that we will have more slow moving thunderstorms that will bring heavy downpours at times. Remember that if you see pooling water to turn around, don’t drown! The rain chances will start to diminish tomorrow with only a 30% chance of storms throughout the day. The other main concern is that we will be seeing lightning with some of these storms which may impact the upcoming high school football games. The weather continues to improve just in time for the holiday weekend with warmer temperatures and sunny skies expected. Then we watch for more potentail rain chances as early as Wednesday!
