Happy Friday everyone! We have had another beautiful start to the day but we are expecting big changes by late this evening. A cold front will move across the South Plains late tonight through early tomorrow morning bringing widespread storm chances. The biggest threats will be strong winds, heavy downpours, low visibility, and localized flooding. If you see pooling water, turn around, don’t drown.

The other change this front will bring is some much cooler temperatures. Highs on Saturday will be 15-20 degrees cooler than today and winds will be breezy from the Northeast at 15-25 MPH. Sky conditions should become clear by Saturday afternoon/evening allowing for a warming trend on Sunday and Monday before the next front arrives on Tuesday.
