The Lubbock Police Department announced Friday that Anthony Don Carter, 50, will serve 90 years in prison for a first-degree felony of possession with intent to deliver more than 400 grams of synthetic marijuana.

Carter also must pay a $100,000 fine, according to an LPD Facebook post.

Synthetic cannabinoids are “extremely dangerous,” the post said, because of the risks of hallucinations, violent behavior and overdoses.
