A break-in late Wednesday night at CBD American Shaman of Lubbock has owners scrambling to clean up the mess after thieves stole $40,000 worth of products.

“We’re here to help,” said Jennifer Diaz, CBD American Shaman of Lubbock Owner, “We will help anybody we possibly can and for someone to come in and break in into my store. I have a family. I’m just supporting my family and it just feels.. It feels very violating.”

EverythingLubbock.com and KLBK had just interviewed Diaz on Wednesday for a seperate story. Two hours after the story aired, Diaz said the crooks smashed through her windows with hammers.

“They took TVs, computers, money, they took our water soluble, our topical pain cream, animal products,” she said, “They took prerolled smokables, they took vapes, they took all kinds of edibles. I felt like they definitely knew what they were coming in here for.”

The shop on Indiana Avenue and 82nd Street is brand new and, unfortunately, the alarm system wasn’t set up yet. The shop has another location on 50th Street, which was untouched. Diaz said she isn’t letting this get to her, instead, she’ll continue welcoming customers, like normal.

“We got a new door. We are a filing a claim on our insurance. We’re still open. This isn’t going to stop us from anything. So we’re just cleaning up. Filing a claim and moving on,” said Diaz.
