The following is the statement from APD:

Acting on narcotics tip, Randall County Sheriff’s SWAT and Narcotics Units executed a narcotics search warrant at the Colonial Jamestown Apartments at 3110 S.W. 27th, apartment #136 at approximately 7:00 pm yesterday.  Narcotics, stolen firearms, stolen jewelry and other stolen property were recovered during this operation.  Randall County deputies were assisted by the Amarillo Police Department’s SWAT team and patrol units, the Panhandle Auto Burglary and Theft Unit and the Canyon Police Department.

Officers believe this operation will clear at least 7 burglaries in Amarillo, Canyon and Lubbock in which U-Haul trailers that were parked at area hotels and other places in our area were either stolen or broken into. Fourteen stolen firearms were recovered from a U-Haul trailer burglary from a hotel parking lot in Lubbock.  The guns were located after officers followed a subject leaving the Colonial Jamestown Apartments and conducted a felony stop at the Toot N Totum store at Wolflin and Washington. It is believed that more burglaries may be cleared after further investigation.
