Lubbock Police on Tuesday said the man killed in the 2100 block of 20th Street has been identified as Richard Bradley Richards, 51. On November 28, police were called to the backyard of a home for the report of a dead body.
Two days later, arrest warrants were issued for murder against Kethan Anderson, 38, and Anna Smith, 31.
“The Lubbock County Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified … Richards through dental records,” police said.
“Anna Ruth Smith, Kethan Lee Anderson and the victim were all homeless,” the arrest warrant said.
The warrant also said, “Anna Smith stated that she had caught the victim exposing himself over her while she had been asleep.”
“Kethan Anderson and Anna Smith left the residence and returned an hour or an hour and a half later. Anna Smith confronted the victim about him exposing himself.”
The warrant said the victim was killed by strangulation.
